Vesalius College works with “Serve the City” – an organization that mobilises volunteers to show kindness in practical ways to people in need. They make contact with associations already active in a city; locals run most of these organisations. Together, they harness the power of their volunteer community, people from all backgrounds and nationalities, to serve those often overlooked by society.
Serve the City also organises events to serve in simple ways – sports, music, arts and crafts, meals, friendship and more. They work for the local community but their team is quite diverse. “Our team consists of young, dynamic and international people; we are professional, as well as friends. The office provides a very warm, family friendly and welcoming environment,” says Jodi Theut, Co-Director of Serve the City.
Do you want to be part of a humanitarian undertaking of wide scope, meet new people from different backgrounds, learn about new cultures, get to know the city and the people who live in it (those in need as well as those who want to help them)?
